Join us for a special day of learning, connection, and celebration at Fort Whoop-Up on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day. Admission is FREE all day! Explore our brand-new programs that launched earlier this year, and enjoy the return of wagon rides through the stunning river valley. Also, be sure to say hello to our beloved resident donkeys, Jackie and Fernando.
Throughout the day, you'll discover stories and teachings about the Blackfoot people, the Métis, and early settlers, gaining insight into the brief but powerful history of Fort Whoop-Up. Come celebrate culture, community, and history with us. Everyone is welcome!

Workshops: Parfleche bag craft, Metis Sash finger weave, candle making, hide tanning, roping & lasso game, Metis Dot Art

Special Event Programming: Tipi raising ceremony; storytelling w/ Raymond & Greta Many Bears; parthernship with Helen Schuler Nature Centre; the return of Jackie & Fernando (the resident donkeys), summer season wagon rides begin!
